  All the animals here are carefully screened for any signs of aggression.
  They must pass the test with Joseph, my 4 yr old, as well as show
  no signs of aggression towards other animals. I often work with dogs
  that may be generally anxious or that have specific issues with
  separation anxiety but I will not accept aggressive dogs of
   any breed. Joseph has been raised with animals. He shows
  respect without fear & a confidence that commands respect from
  the dogs. I am, often, amazed at his skill with even the largest of dogs.
  The photos here are an example of the gentleness of some of our
  larger "guests". These animals are gentle even with my kitten "Karma".

     PHYSICAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM

  • 24 hour post operative care for orthopedic surgery cases, such as TPLO
   (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) & post trauma, such as post fracture, & other surgical
   cases that require cage rest & monitoring.
   Orthopedic cases are required to be immobilized for as long as 8 weeks. Post surgical
   care can be difficult, if not virtually impossible, with busy work schedules. At T.L.C. 4 Pets
   your pet is under the watchful eye of an experienced professional familiar with the proper
   handling & care of your pets special needs.
  • After a period of immobilization, specific controlled exercises are necessary to stretch the
   scar tissue & rebuild atrophied muscles. Keeping the emphasis on the duration of exercise rather
   than the intensity is an important part of the rehabilitation process. I will work closely with your
   Veterinary Surgeon to design a rehab program expressly for your pets needs.

                  The cost of this care ranges from $35 - $65 per night




   You will see "Franco" the boxer, quite often, throughout this web site.  
  He has been with us for day care 5 days a week & for many over-nights
  for 4 years now. He is part of our family & one of the gentlest, even
  tempered animals I have come to love & certainly one of the most
  active dogs I've ever known.
  These action photos of "Franco" are several weeks after his 1st TPLO
  surgery, in 2007.  He had his right knee done in December of 2008
  & is now working on rehabilitation so that he can once again run with the
  pack & chase his favorite balls.
